This intensive IELTS Teaching Training Course is designed to prepare Bangladeshi ESL teachers to become professional IELTS trainers. The course blends global TESOL/TEFL standards with practical IELTS classroom applications, including the latest test trends, assessment criteria, and band-score strategies for all four modules: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

Course Objectives

Understand the format, grading system, and objectives of the IELTS Academic & General Training modules.
Gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively teach IELTS Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
Train teachers in band descriptor-based evaluation and feedback delivery techniques.
Equip participants with lesson planning, test material development, and classroom management skills tailored for IELTS classes.
Provide hands-on classroom teaching experience through 75 hours of supervised practicum.

Course Structure

Part 1: Theory & Methods – 75+ Hours

Module 1: Introduction to IELTS & Test Mechanics (5 hours)
- Test formats (Academic vs General)
- Band descriptors & scoring principles
- Global test trends & regional challenges
Module 2: Teaching IELTS Listening (10 hours)
- Section-wise breakdown & question types
- Strategies for weak listeners
- Dictation, paraphrasing & note-taking practice
Module 3: Teaching IELTS Reading (15 hours)
- Skimming, scanning & inference skills
- Time management & passage prediction
- Matching headings, MCQs, True/False/Not Given
Module 4: Teaching IELTS Writing Task 1 & 2 (20 hours)
- Academic Reports (Charts/Graphs)
- General Letters (Formal, Informal, Semi-formal)
- Task 2 Essay types & band descriptor analysis
- Grammar, coherence & cohesion techniques
Module 5: Teaching IELTS Speaking (15 hours)
- Fluency, pronunciation, and lexical resource practice
- Role-playing & mock interviews
- Accent reduction & hesitation control
Module 6: Lesson Planning & Professional Practice (15 hours)
- Syllabus design for IELTS
- Error correction & student assessment
- Using IELTS Cambridge materials & mock tests effectively

Part 2: Practical Teaching (75 Hours)

Micro-teaching with peer observation
Weekly speaking and writing assessment sessions
Teaching all four modules under expert supervision
Final teaching demonstration (graded)

Admission Requirements

Minimum HSC or Bachelor’s Degree
Good command of English (Intermediate level or above)
Commitment to attend 90% of classes

Assessment & Certification

Lesson Portfolio Submission – 20%
Written Final Exam – 30%
Practical Teaching Demo – 50%

Certification:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a 150-hour TESOL Certificate in English Teaching, approved by Westminster College London & TalentHut TESOL Academy, accredited by the CPD UK Government. and suitable for ESL jobs in Bangladesh and abroad.
